Fiona Palmer

Graphic Designer

Fiona moved to Ipswich after completing a Graphic Design Diploma at Grantham College. She then continued to degree level at Suffolk University. After graduating, Fiona gained 15 years experience in magazine publishing working as designer across numerous different titles. Here’s where she found her passion for print. Fiona specialises in creating captivating layouts, typography and imagery to elevate editorial content to engage readers. One of her biggest achievements was art directing the launch of ‘Make & Sew Toys’ bringing her joy and pride with every issue.

“I find excitement in the many design possibilities of a blank page and receive huge satisfaction seeing this returned from print – especially seeing my name in the contributors panel. Viewing the consumer’s buzz on social media about their anticipation for each issue was really rewarding”.

Being surrounded by mostly craft titles, Fiona was also keen to put her artistic talents to use, dabbling in all things crafty – from jewellery making to needle felting, watercolour or clay. Outside of work, you’ll probably find Fiona outdoors enjoying time with her two adventurous boys. Kayaking, camping, hiking or just chilling in the garden with a coffee (or Gin!). Fiona finds inspiration from nature to fuel her creativity.
